Alex, is the most charming host you can imagine. The pictures are accurate, the stay is amazing. Alex has a wealth of insider information about the city - he will gladly point you in the right direction to see Berlin like the locals see it.
I stayed a few days in August and my one regret is that I didn't stay longer. If you get the chance to stay with Alex, take it! He stayed up til midnight to welcome me to the flat after my flights got delayed on my first night in Berlin which was beyond the call of duty. His hospitality was phenomenal, when I asked to wash my clothes, he not only washed them for me but I found them pressed and folded neatly at the end of the day.
Berlin is a great city and staying with Alex made the experience better. It felt like home. Alexander could not be a better host. I so enjoyed the historic swimming pool just a few blocks away where I could get in a swim. It's hard to find a great venue for exercise when traveling. The neighborhood is delightful with some cool cafes and you're just a block from a key subway station, so it's easy to reach many different parts of Berlin quickly.
Thank you so much Alexander. Amongst all the airbnb booking I made so far, Alex's room is by far the best. It's almost like being in a really chic botique hotel. The neighborhood is very quiet and central and the place is very easy to find. The room itself is very modern and cozy and the bed is extremely comfortable.
I believe it is a memory foam bed, so if you're tired from the travels, it is the perfect bed to rest! As a host, Alex is very generous, corteous and helpful! He gave me all the tips the best ones are the free tour trips! He will surely help out! Oh and upon check-in, he also gives 2 free chocolates just as a compliment ; i think its a very nice gesture!
